The 55th Annual Western Heritage Awards, honored contributers to Western Culture, including Tommy Lee Jones, Lee Marvin, George Lane, Bob Steele, Rusty Richards, Waddie Mitchell, Pipp Gillette, Mary Kaye, C.J. Box, Enrique Guerra, Mike Kearby, Mack White, Lee Marmon, Tom Corbett, Ben Masters, Red Steagall, John Wirth for Hell on Wheels, and Red Shuttleworth.
Western Heritage Award winners receive a bronze sculpture, The Wrangler.
Red Shuttleworth's winning book of poems, Woe to the Land Shadowing (published by Jeff and Tobi Alfier's Blue Horse Press) was predicated by the worst fire season (summer 2015) in Washington State history. Woe to the Land Shadowing is available at the book store at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and also on Amazon.
